WarfighterMoney ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
Account info: Name, email, and authentication credentials (or basic profile from Google sign-in).
Military profile: Pay grade, years of service, duty station, VA disability rating — used solely for pay calculations and never shared with third parties for marketing.
Saved scenarios: Calculator results and city comparisons you choose to save.
Usage data: Pages visited, browser type, device info, and IP address for platform improvement.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to provide the service, calculate personalized compensation translations, save your preferences, send transactional emails, improve the platform, and detect fraud. We do not sell your personal information or share your military data with recruiters, lenders, or advertisers.
3. Data Sharing
Hosting: Supabase (database/auth) and Vercel (web hosting) process data on our behalf.
Payments: Stripe handles all payment data under PCI DSS compliance. We never store your credit card information.
Analytics: Anonymized usage data only — no access to your military profile or compensation.
4. Cookies
We use cookies for authentication, theme preferences, and access control. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Disabling cookies may affect functionality.
5. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database storage, and row-level security policies so users can only access their own data. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions.
6. Retention & Your Rights
Data is retained while your account is active. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days. You may request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data by contacting us. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
WarfighterMoney is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy at any time. Changes are effective when posted with an updated date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
